EVENTS: Ice Cream and Back-to-School Gifties
The 7th annual Ice Cream Social neighborhood event is coming right up!
Mark your calendar for Thursday, August 30th, from 5-7 p.m. (with the raffle drawings at 6 p.m.).
All activities and Back-to-School kits are freely offered by FCC and our volunteers.
The free event offerings include:
- Ice cream sundaes,
- Back-to-School kits (three note books, pencils, pens, erasers and two study folders),
- A raffle for two back packs,
- Games for the kids and,
- Live music.
The party is held in the parking lot of church, rain or shine. In the case of rain, we can move to the social hall, but in recent years we’ve had sunny weather.
FCC’s previous Ice Cream Social events drew between 300 and 600 neighbors, children and adults, to enjoy the community event together.
This year’s Ice Cream Social event will be the Thursday before Labor Day — on August 30 between 5 and 7PM. The raffle drawing is about 6:00PM.
FCC NEWS: Renovations Underway to Increase Accessibility
Renovations to the FCC parking lot entrance are underway.
The renovations will include a ramp to allow easier access to services, events and meetings held in the FCC sanctuary, chapel, parlor, and meeting/gathering rooms.
We look forward to sharing updates along the way.
