It’s Award Time! Crandall Fund Academic Awards (from the Deacons Bench)

Over one hundred years ago, Mrs. Crandall, a member of First Congregational Church, established a fund to help students with educational expenses.

Others have added to the Crandall Fund over the years, and using the interest on this fund (not the invested principal) our church has been able to help many students with their school expenses.

Both high school and college academics have taken on new dimensions during the COVID pandemic. However, the work of our church carries on, and Deacons have decided to offer Academic Achievement Awards for 2021.

Any church member or their relative, and any Friend of FCC, is eligible to apply for an Award.

Open and download the application here.

Applications for Academic Achievement Awards are also available at the church office and can be requested by email.

Please send or bring your completed paper application to the church office by June 30, 2021. Decisions on awards will be made by a committee of Deacons after that date.

If you have questions, please contact Pastor Daniel, the office, or a Deacon – contact information here.

Historic F.C.C.

We’ve been here on corner of Main and Front Streets for a long time and have come a long way — check out our history.

Here’s one vintage pic of F.C.C.

Photographer Gordon L. Morales was processing some old glass negatives and came across this one of the Court St. bridge, dated at the end of the 1800s/early 1900s, with the  First Congregational Church  in the background.
